P&G Pharmaceuticals sells more, wastes less
The Challenge
Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals needed to increase their reps’ time in territory by reducing the amount of time reps had to spend waiting for collateral or samples to be delivered, which translated to lost sales time. They were also interested in reducing the amount of samples sent by better forecasting the amount of product samples and collateral the reps would need.
The Solution
The Aero account team proposed and developed a shipping method that supports scheduled delivery service based on the reps’ availability. The reps now receive calls from Aero’s freight partner to schedule arrival of their collateral and samples. Aero also created an interface in aeroNavigator™ that allows reps to designate the desired quantity of samples they actually need in advance of scheduled push shipments to help define accurate demand data for brand managers.
The Results
The Aero solution allowed P&G to realize improvements on the front and back end of the sales process. We helped them increase their overall sales by keeping reps in territory for a greater percentage of time. We also provide key new analytics to enhance their forecasting based on actual demand, not simply guessing or past history -- eliminating excess inventory costs. |
