Celebrating 40 Years of Aero Fulfillment

From a small operation in Blue Ash to a trusted partner serving Fortune 1000 companies — this is our story.

For 40 years, Aero Fulfillment has grown through the dedication of our team and the trust of our customers. Since 1986, what began with a single client and a bold idea has evolved into something far greater. This page celebrates the people, milestones, and moments that shaped Aero over the past four decades.

Jack and John Gimpel, founder and CEO of Aero Fulfillment Services
A family legacy

Built by the Gimpels,
grown by everyone

Forty years ago, Jack Gimpel saw an opportunity where others saw a gap. He built Aero from the ground up and then passed the torch to his son John, who has led the company into a new era of growth. Together, they represent what Aero has always been: a family business that treats every employee and client like one of their own.

Jack Gimpel, founder of Aero Fulfillment Services
The beginning

How Aero Fulfillment began

In 1986, Jack Gimpel built a company from scratch while keeping his day job — running Aero evenings and weekends to solve a problem he'd seen firsthand: Cincinnati's fulfillment options were a mess, and the companies that needed them deserved better. So he built one — starting with 10,000 square feet, a small crew, and one major client.

"One of my clients said to me, 'You should start a fulfillment company — we've got the worst ones here.' That stuck with me." — Jack Gimpel, Founder

2025
Kable acquisition expands the team

Aero acquires Kable Product Services, a Fairfield-based operation founded in 1959, bringing over 30 new clients and 35 additional employees to Aero.

2026
Celebrating 40 years

A trusted partner to clients across industries, with the same values and commitment to service that started it all on Creek Road in Blue Ash.

Leadership reflections

Leading the next chapter

When John Gimpel stepped into leadership, Aero was a fast-growing but loosely structured operation in need of someone to stabilize it and run it day to day. As the "fix it" guy, John guided Aero from its scrappy, founder-driven roots into a more stable, scalable business.

"When we won the LexisNexis business, I remember thinking this could really work at a different scale." — John Gimpel, CEO
"Aero's story isn't really about me or my dad — it's about the employees who built their careers here." — John Gimpel, CEO

The people behind Aero

40 Years, 40 People

To mark four decades, we're spotlighting the 40 most tenured people at Aero — the ones who've been here through it all. We're adding new stories every month.

Kim Meyers - 28 Years
VP of Client Experience, Quality, & PMO

Behind every milestone are the people who help turn ambition into execution. Kim Meyers is one of those leaders. Over her career, she has grown alongside the company—helping build the foundations of Aero's client experience, quality standards, and program delivery while continuing to raise the bar for what strong partnership looks like.

"Those early experiences were incredibly formative for me and helped define not only my career path, but Aero's approach to quality and client service."

Emily Jones-Gmerek - 15 Years
Billing Specialist Lead

Emily started in data entry at the Fairfield facility when Aero had around 20 clients and the warehouse break area wasn't even enclosed. She's watched the operation grow dramatically — and stayed because Aero made her feel valued and trusted.

"I've had the opportunity to grow, take on new responsibilities, and work alongside great people."

Cheri Koenig (Crabtree) - 28 Years
Client Experience Manager

Cheri joined as a temporary production associate when mail ruled and there was no WMS in sight. She transitioned into Client Experience — even during a WMS implementation — and has stayed because no two days are the same.

"No day is the same — every workday has its own experiences and challenges. I always joke and say I love chaos. For the record, I do, but only sometimes."
