Aero Fulfillment 40th Anniversary
The people behind Aero

Meet the Aero Fulfillment Team

Forty years of Aero has been built by the people who show up every day. Over the next 12 months, we're sharing their stories — in their own words.

Becky Tellock, Senior Client Experience Manager at Aero Fulfillment Services
August 2026 spotlight
Becky Tellock - 21 Years
Senior Client Experience Manager

Becky joined Aero in 2004 as a Production Associate and has spent the 21 years since growing into her current role as Senior Client Experience Manager — her favorite role at Aero, and the one she finds most rewarding.

"Every day is different. I find it rewarding to serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring their needs are met."

For Becky, the Client Experience team is the right fit precisely because no two days look alike. As the primary point of contact for her clients, it's the variety, the problem-solving, and the relationships that make it worth showing up. What's kept her here for more than two decades is an environment she describes as supportive and trusting — casual, but structured.

"Growth requires stretching beyond your comfort zone. Taking on new challenges has helped me develop new skills and build confidence."

That lesson — that growth tends to live just past the comfort zone — is the one she'd hand to anyone coming up behind her. Outside of work, you'll find Becky outside enjoying sunshine, playing pickleball, and spending time with her family.

Erin Jones, Client Experience Representative at Aero Fulfillment Services
August 2026 spotlight
Erin Jones - 13 Years
Client Experience Representative

Erin joined Aero in 2013 as a Client Experience Representative — and 13 years later, that's still her role and still her favorite. The title hasn't changed, but the relationships she's built along the way have made it deeply meaningful work.

When Erin's mother recently passed away, one of the first people to arrive at the funeral was a client who had driven over an hour before work to be there to support her. It's something she'll never forget — and one of several moments that have shown her what real partnership looks like at Aero.

"Many of our clients see us as more than a vendor — they see us as a partner, and even in some cases as family."

For Erin, what sets Aero apart is a willingness to build the solution around the client rather than making the client fit a pre-built box. Many large distributors want clients to fit inside their existing systems; Aero isn't afraid to create a new one. That's how the relationships get built.

"They see we value them and their business and want to help them succeed and grow."

Outside of work, Erin is active in her church and its outreach ministries — and over the years, her Aero life and her church life have started to overlap in unexpected ways. Recently a non-local client wanted to donate items to a local church, and her teammates suggested hers. She loves seeing things her team worked on at Aero saved from the dumpster and turned into something that brings real joy to someone else.

Jack and John Gimpel, Founder and CEO of Aero Fulfillment Services
July 2026 spotlight
Jack & John Gimpel
Founder  ·  Chief Executive Officer

Every story on this page traces back to two people. In July we sat down with the father who started Aero in 1986 and the son who leads it today — where the name came from, the moment they knew it would work, and the values that still shape how Aero operates four decades on.

"One of my clients said to me, 'You should start a fulfillment company — we've got the worst ones here.' That stuck with me."

Tami Tenoever, Client Experience Representative at Aero Fulfillment Services
June 2026 spotlight
Tami Tenoever - 11 Years
Client Experience Representative

Tami started at Aero in Business Development before transitioning into Client Experience — the role she has held, and loved, for the bulk of her career. On just her second day at Aero, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. It was an incredibly challenging time, both personally and professionally, but Aero gave her the flexibility she needed to attend treatments, focus on healing, and continue working when she was able.

"I will always be deeply grateful for the understanding and support I was shown during this time."

One of Tami's favorite memories at Aero is an October fundraiser for Pink Ribbon Good — an organization that provides support for individuals affected by breast and gynecological cancer. Throughout the month, the team organized activities to bring people together around the cause. The highlight was a fun race held in the warehouse, where a few of the men volunteered to run a lap in pink high heels. At the end of the month, all the funds raised were donated to Pink Ribbon Good.

"It was a lighthearted moment that brought a lot of laughter while still supporting an important cause."
Doug Striker, Vice President of Sales at Aero Fulfillment Services
June 2026 spotlight
Doug Striker - 14 Years
Vice President of Sales

Doug Striker joined Aero in 2011 as Business Development Director and today helps lead the company's sales organization as Vice President of Sales.

His career in warehousing and fulfillment began long before Aero. At age 14, Doug took an evening warehouse job at Cincinnati Transit Warehouse with a work permit and has worked in the industry ever since. That early experience sparked a lifelong career in logistics, fulfillment, and business development.

During his time at Aero, Doug has helped drive the company's growth while witnessing its evolution from a smaller mailing-focused operation into a broader fulfillment and logistics organization. Among the many changes he's seen, he points to the adoption of standardized business metrics and the introduction of the Employee Gainshare program as two developments that have had a lasting impact on the company.

Rather than pointing to a single achievement, Doug takes the greatest pride in being part of Aero's long-term growth. Over the past 14 years, he has helped expand the business, build lasting customer relationships, and contribute to the company's continued success alongside a dedicated team of colleagues. His advice for anyone building a career in sales reflects lessons learned over decades in the industry:

"One of the biggest lessons I've learned is not to take rejection personally. There are often hundreds of 'No's behind every 'Yes,' and success comes from having the confidence to keep showing up and moving forward."

What has kept Doug at Aero for 14 years is the company's people, culture, and the autonomy employees are given to succeed.

"Other companies treat employees like a number. Here people are treated like people."

Doug credits John Gimpel as one of the biggest influences on his career at Aero, both for believing in him from day one and for investing in his professional growth through Sandler sales training and other professional development opportunities. Outside of work, Doug enjoys spending time with his family and on the golf course.

Jeff Shank, Operations at Aero Fulfillment Services
June 2026 spotlight
Jeff Shank - 27 Years
Every Ops Department

When we asked Jeff what his current role is, his answer was "every Ops department" — and honestly, after 27 years of moving through Receiving, Bulk Picking, and just about everything in between, that's a fair description. He started at Aero in 1998 as a Bulk Picker, back when the place was — in his words — "laid back." Twenty-seven years later, he's been around to see most of Aero's growth firsthand.

"Making the Christmas tree out of bulk pallets on the receiving dock every year."

His favorite memories include the simple ones — back-of-the-building moments with John Gimpel and Jimmy D — and the ones the whole team got to see, like the Christmas tree he and his crew built every year out of bulk pallets on the receiving dock. Jeff credits Adam Stiverson with having one of the biggest influences on his career, both for the way Adam has treated him and for being someone who tries to do what it takes to make things happen.

"What's kept me here? People."

As for what he's learned at Aero? He'll tell you with a straight face: how to put 50 pounds of stuff into a 5-pound bag. Literally.

Kim Meyers, VP of Client Experience at Aero Fulfillment Services
May 2026 spotlight
Kim Meyers - 28 Years
VP of Client Experience, Quality, & PMO

Kim began her career at Aero in Account Management as an Account Coordinator, when Mason was the company's only facility, direct mail was a core service offering, and Aero was just beginning to expand into fulfillment. Today, she leads a team of nearly 20 across Client Experience, Quality, and PMO. From the earliest days of manual processes to today's sophisticated operations, Kim has been part of that transformation — helping shape not only how Aero works, but who we are.

Over the course of her career, Kim has led the onboarding and implementation of several P&G programs — many of which have grown into 20+ year partnerships. She also played a key role in developing Aero's Quarterly Business Review (QBR) standard, with elements still in use today. In addition, Kim helped lay the foundation for Aero's Quality program, ensuring alignment not only with P&G's rigorous expectations but also with broader regulatory and industry standards for a 3PL provider.

"Those early experiences were incredibly formative for me and helped define not only my career path, but Aero's approach to quality and client service."

What has kept Kim at Aero for nearly three decades? Simply put — she's never stopped learning. Clients raise the bar, competitors push the team to sharpen, and the industry is constantly evolving. There's always something to figure out — and they always do.

"That continuous momentum — and the opportunity to be part of solving complex challenges — is what has made my time at Aero so rewarding."

Fun fact: Kim dreamed of becoming a writer when she was young. She won two Young Author awards — one in 2nd grade and one in 5th grade, where she even narrated her story on a cassette tape — cutting edge at the time!

Emily Jones-Gmerek, Billing Specialist Lead at Aero Fulfillment Services
May 2026 spotlight
Emily Jones-Gmerek - 15 years
Billing Specialist Lead

Emily started at Aero in data entry — timesheets and backup front desk — at the Fairfield facility, sitting near the main entrance when there were only four account executives at that location. The warehouse break area was in the same spot as today, but it wasn't enclosed yet. The client base was around 20 clients, but several had large promotions that would fill the aisles with hundreds of pallets.

"Looking back, it's been incredible to see how much the operation has grown and evolved since those days."

Emily has stayed because Aero created an environment where she feels valued and trusted — with the opportunity to grow, take on new responsibilities, and work alongside great people.

"That consistency, combined with the relationships I've built, has kept me committed over time."

One of her proudest moments: a 2015 multi-location fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where associates contributed to jars labeled with their supervisors' names. The four supervisors who raised the most were duct-taped to a wall and pied with shaving cream. It raised meaningful donations — and brought the whole company together.

Cheri Koenig (Crabtree), Client Experience Manager at Aero Fulfillment Services
May 2026 spotlight
Cheri Koenig (Crabtree) - 28 Years
Client Experience Manager

Cheri joined Aero as a temporary production associate when mail ruled and there was no WMS in sight — a very different operation from what Aero is today. She made her way from production lead into Client Experience, making the transition right in the middle of a WMS implementation. Challenging? Yes. Exciting? Absolutely.

"No day is the same — every workday has its own experiences and challenges. I always joke and say I love chaos. For the record, I do, but only sometimes."

One of her proudest accomplishments: transitioning from Production Lead to Client Experience — learning to work comfortably with clients directly, rather than communicating solely within the team internally. It was one of the hardest things she'd done at Aero — and one of the most rewarding.
