Forty years of Aero has been built by the people who show up every day. Over the next 12 months, we're sharing their stories — in their own words.
Kim began her career at Aero in Account Management as an Account Coordinator, when Mason was the company's only facility, direct mail was a core service offering, and Aero was just beginning to expand into fulfillment. Today, she leads a team of nearly 20 across Client Experience, Quality, and PMO. From the earliest days of manual processes to today's sophisticated operations, Kim has been part of that transformation — helping shape not only how Aero works, but who we are.
Over the course of her career, Kim has led the onboarding and implementation of several P&G programs — many of which have grown into 20+ year partnerships. She also played a key role in developing Aero's Quarterly Business Review (QBR) standard, with elements still in use today. In addition, Kim helped lay the foundation for Aero's Quality program, ensuring alignment not only with P&G's rigorous expectations but also with broader regulatory and industry standards for a 3PL provider.
What has kept Kim at Aero for nearly three decades? Simply put — she's never stopped learning. Clients raise the bar, competitors push the team to sharpen, and the industry is constantly evolving. There's always something to figure out — and they always do.
Fun fact: Kim dreamed of becoming a writer when she was young. She won two Young Author awards — one in 2nd grade and one in 5th grade, where she even narrated her story on a cassette tape — cutting edge at the time!
Emily started at Aero in data entry — timesheets and backup front desk — at the Fairfield facility, sitting near the main entrance when there were only four account executives at that location. The warehouse break area was in the same spot as today, but it wasn't enclosed yet. The client base was around 20 clients, but several had large promotions that would fill the aisles with hundreds of pallets.
Emily has stayed because Aero created an environment where she feels valued and trusted — with the opportunity to grow, take on new responsibilities, and work alongside great people.
One of her proudest moments: a 2015 multi-location fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, where associates contributed to jars labeled with their supervisors' names. The four supervisors who raised the most were duct-taped to a wall and pied with shaving cream. It raised meaningful donations — and brought the whole company together.
Cheri joined Aero as a temporary production associate when mail ruled and there was no WMS in sight — a very different operation from what Aero is today. She made her way from production lead into Client Experience, making the transition right in the middle of a WMS implementation. Challenging? Yes. Exciting? Absolutely.
One of her proudest accomplishments: transitioning from Production Lead to Client Experience — learning to work comfortably with clients directly, rather than communicating solely within the team internally. It was one of the hardest things she'd done at Aero — and one of the most rewarding.
