A family legacy

Built by the Gimpels,
grown by everyone

Forty years ago, Jack Gimpel saw an opportunity where others saw a gap. He built Aero from the ground up — and eventually passed the torch to his son John, who has led the company into a new era of growth. Together, they represent what Aero has always been: a family business that treats every employee and client like one of their own.

The beginning

How Aero Fulfillment began

In 1986, Aero began with a simple observation: companies needed a better way to manage and move their products after printing was complete. Founder Jack Gimpel saw the gap firsthand while working in print sales and set out to build a company focused on reliable fulfillment and strong customer service.

"One of my clients said to me, 'You should start a fulfillment company — we've got the worst ones here.' That stuck with me." — Jack Gimpel, Founder

The people behind Aero

Voices from the Aero Fulfillment team

Aero has always been built by the people who show up every day. Here are a few of the faces and stories behind four decades of fulfillment.

Kim Meyers, VP of Client Experience at Aero Fulfillment Services
Kim Meyers
VP of Client Experience, Quality, & PMO

Kim started as an Account Coordinator when Mason was the only facility and carbon copy forms ran the warehouse. Her early work with P&G shaped Aero's quality program — two of those partnerships are still going 20+ years later.

"There is always something to figure out, a problem to solve — we always figure it out. We are always working to move forward."

Emily Jones-Gmerek
Billing Specialist Lead

Emily started in data entry at the Fairfield facility when Aero had around 20 clients and the warehouse break area wasn't even enclosed. She's watched the operation grow dramatically — and stayed because Aero made her feel valued and trusted.

"I've had the opportunity to grow, take on new responsibilities, and work alongside great people."

Cheri Crabtree, Client Experience Manager at Aero Fulfillment Services
Cheri Crabtree
Client Experience Manager

Cheri joined as a temporary production associate when mail ruled and there was no WMS in sight. She transitioned into Client Experience — even during a WMS implementation — and has stayed because no two days are the same.

"No day is the same — every workday has its own experiences and challenges. I always joke and say I love chaos. For the record, I do, but only sometimes."
